Baby It's Cold Outside

NASA’s Kennedy Space Center can be a pretty wild place, literally.  The launch pads sit amid the Merritt Island Wildlife Refuge.  All kinds of rare and endangered species live there, and they just got some unexpected company.

About 300 loggerhead turtles meandered into a lagoon at the Cape, apparently stunned by the unusually cold water off the Florida Coast.  Wildlife agents and scientists organized a rescue mission.  The turtles were checked out and shipped to a warm place inland, where they will stay until the weather turns for the better.
