More from the “Cool Images” Desk – this one comes from Mars – the southern highlands – where the European Space Agency’s Mars Express captured these images of some craters… some relatively young – some old.

And there is this one of the Orion Nebula – captured by the European Southern Observatory….specifically its new instrument called VISTA — the Visible and Infrared Survey Telescope for Astronomy.   It is the largest survey telescope in the world – and this image is likely the first of many that will make you say …ooooh.
